What will be discussed
Energy Utility companies around the world are facing increasing demands on their network infrastructure due to the effects of COVID-19 and rapidly changing energy markets.
Some of these challenges include operating within legacy networks, micro-generation, increased energy conservation by consumers and the growing demands on internet services due to people working and studying from home, social interaction and video entertainment, all requiring greater demands on the network.
A fast, reliable and flexible telecommunications network is required to meet these demands now and for the future.
Smart grid networks utilising Fibre Deep architecture is the solution as it enables higher bandwidth, faster speed, lower latency, increased reliability and security. The optical fibre is pushed deeper into the network, closer to the edge and the devices with which they need to communicate.
